What is artumentary photography?
It is our signature approach that bridges documentary photography with artistic vision. We do not direct your day — we observe and capture its living texture: glances, pauses, details that form a real story. <a href="/artumentary/">Read more...</a>
Do you work only in Italy?
Italy is our base, but we are happy to travel. Weddings abroad are discussed individually; travel, parking, entrance fees and permits are charged to the client separately unless otherwise agreed in writing.
How many photographs will we receive?
The number depends on the duration of the shoot and the package agreed. The selection of shots and the post-production style fall within our artistic discretion, in accordance with the agreed style and the purchased service.
How long do we wait for the finished photographs?
Delivery times are set out in the contract and run from the date of the service and/or the final selection of images, and from full payment of the balance.
In what format will the files be delivered?
Final high-resolution files are delivered via a private gallery. RAW files, source files and unedited files are not included unless separately agreed in writing.
How long will the online gallery be available?
The gallery remains available for the period stated in the contract. Storage beyond that period is not guaranteed. We strongly recommend downloading and keeping your own copy as soon as you receive access.
Do you shoot projects other than weddings?
Human stories inspire us. We are open to conversations about family, anniversary and portrait projects.
What is included in the Design section?
We create bespoke objects for your wedding and home: printed materials (invitations, menus, place cards) as well as commemorative art objects — framed prints, collages and photo books.
Can we commission design without photography?
Yes. Design projects are accepted independently.
Do you work with photographs taken by another photographer?
In some cases, yes. Write to us and we will discuss the details.
How do we book a date?
Get in touch via the contact form or by email. After an initial conversation we send the contract. The date is considered reserved only once the confirmatory deposit has been paid and the booking confirmed.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend getting in touch at least 6-12 months before the event, especially for the summer season.
What deposit is required?
30% of the total amount as a confirmatory deposit (caparra confirmatoria) pursuant to Article 1385 of the Italian Civil Code. The remaining 70% is due on the day of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Final material is delivered only after full payment.
What happens if we cancel?
In the event of cancellation, no-show or unilateral withdrawal by the client, the deposit is retained. If the cancellation is made by us without a justified reason, we undertake to refund double the deposit in accordance with Article 1385 of the Italian Civil Code.
Can we reschedule the date?
Rescheduling is possible only by prior written agreement and subject to our availability. A request to reschedule does not automatically guarantee a new date. If rescheduling is not possible and the parties cannot agree on an alternative, the booking is treated as cancelled by the client and the deposit conditions apply.
What if we are late on the day?
Client delays do not automatically extend the session: the delay time is counted within the overall duration of the shoot unless we agree otherwise.
Is there a minimum coverage duration?
Yes. Our minimum coverage is 3 hours for local weddings (in and around Genova) and 6 hours for destination weddings. This is the minimum we need to document your day with the care and depth it deserves. If you are unsure whether your day fits, just get in touch — we are happy to discuss.
How may we use our photographs?
Delivered photographs may be used for personal and non-commercial purposes, including publication on personal social media profiles. Sale, licensing, commercial use, substantial modification or removal of any watermark requires our written authorisation.
Will our photographs appear in your portfolio?
We retain the right to use selected photographs for portfolio, website, social media and other promotional purposes. Within 10 days of delivery you may request in writing the exclusion of specific images from such use.
Are there special conditions for photographs involving children?
Yes. The promotional use of photographs of identifiable minors requires a separate specific written authorisation from the person or persons exercising parental responsibility. This release form is provided by us separately and is not a condition for the photography service itself.
What languages do you work in?
We communicate in Italian, English and Russian. All formal documentation (contract, booking terms, privacy policy) is provided exclusively in Italian and English. Informal communication in other languages is offered as a courtesy only and has no legal force. In case of any interpretative difference, the Italian version prevails.
Can we meet before signing the contract?
Of course. We are happy to arrange an introductory online or in-person meeting.
Which law governs the contract?
The relationship is governed by Italian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties first attempt resolution by good-faith negotiation (15 days), then by mediation administered by the Camera di Commercio di Genova (60 days). If unresolved, the competent court is the Tribunale di Genova.
